Another coin i've had for awhile now. I got it a few weeks later after my Victoria Crown. I liked the obverse portrait.
San Marino and Vatican City have really pretty coins. I believe they are mostly for tourists but I still like them.
Nice design - and what is also interesting is that this is the last year of the "old" San Marino coinage period. After 1938 they had a long break and did not get the right to mint lira-compatible coins back until 1972 ... Christian
I really like this design! Very lovely coin -- and I like the San Marino coins in general because they are low mintage and mostly overlooked.
Fresh from the slabber. I first saw the MS63 on the 5 Lire and was really disappointed. I thought it was the nicer of the two and assumed it meant the 10 Lire was probably graded MS62. Imagine my surprise, then, when the 10 Lire came back in a MS64 holder. These were both purchased from Tim Yeager raw last fall.
