    Why not remove it?

NOTE: When removing coins from 2x2's (stapled of not) use a sharp toothpick to pierce the cello then fold the 2x2 at the piercing spot. The cello will cleanly tear and the coin can then be easily removed.

i was just wondering, is it better to leave it in there, or would it be better to remove it?

    Thanks!

I'm confused as to why you would remove it or feel the need to remove it or even ask if you should remove it?
Certainly it is better protected in a 2x2 unless the intent on removing the coin was to put it into an album.

Perhaps I should change the question to: "Why would you consider removing the coin from the 2x2 since, if you remove it, you'll have to put it somewhere for protection?"

i dunno, i guess i just wanted to hold it, not while its in the holder, but in my hand.
im sure a lot of coin collectors have wanted to this before.....

I see nothing wrong with this but I have personally never felt the "need" to touch any of my coins unless I had to.

Ok, i guess i just wanted to because its such a cool coin, and cause it is the oldest US coin i have.

And have done it. In the mid 1950's I was given a box of old coins: large cents, half cents, three cent nickel and silver - quite a pile of stuff, all just loose in the box. I remember being fascinated by the tiny three cent silvers particularly.

Those coins are long gone, but recently I wanted to relive holding them, so I bought some culls just so that I could.

So, if you are "weird", then so am I, and so what?
