    It's a worn 1918 V-Nickel... the 8 appears to be a 3.

    They didn't make V-Nickels in 1918. ;) I think Doug is right...this is a retooled 1910.

    I don't see it...but that's OK.

I think the seller is a self slabber, if you look at a few of the other items for sale.

INB is a slabber who now goes by "coinrocksgems" or something like that on eBay. Famous for "unsearched rolls" "coin collection found behind old clock" and other BS that eBay blissfully ignores.

    How are you 100% certain?

I understand it is a rare coin and would be silly to have it in that holder, but aside from that what evidence do you see that convinces you without a doubt it's fake?

Let me ask it this way... would you bet your life it's a fake?

(For the record, I don't believe it's real either, but I don't see a way of proving it without a doubt)

    Yes, I'd bet my life.

If a real 1913 had turned up, it would be all over the news and would be auctioned by one of the big coin dealers, not that piece of detritus on eBay. It would also be in a real slab. It's fake just like the slab.

    It's a fake slab, it doesn't say MS70.
