    Dear Masters,
Please forgive my ignorance but I have another coin to be identified for my friend.
It is a small coin.We have no doubt about its authenticity. It is 1,2 gr and its diameter is 13mm.

No idea either, but it does look like a button.

This is challenging. To me it looks more like a coin than a button. The wreath and M (or are those two clubs with some symbol between?) make me think of Macedon but so far I haven't found a match.

I still say button. The reverse is what I am focusing on. OP, does the raised triangle portion have a hole in it that is not visible from this angle? I am saying this because I would occasionally receive similar items in unsearched lots from a couple of sellers. They would just have everything in there, some greek, lots of roman, some medieval, and a few buttons to boot.

I will bet you a VF Late Roman TIF. :D

You say you have no doubt about its authenticity? Presumably you know what part of the world it comes from? It may be a button from a local organisation etc etc which could help you to pin it down...it has obviously come out of the ground, so find location could help.

I would ask the seller for an attribution if its a real coin. If the seller feels its real, then maybe they know who issued it, when, etc.

It is real, its a button? I do not believe its meant to fool anyone any more than a carrot purports to be a potato..........
