I sold a coin on Ebay for around a 100 bucks. On accident, I sent the wrong coin. I instantly emailed the buyer and warned him that the wrong coin was sent. I asked him to return the coin and I will get the right one out to him, and cover his shipping cost. I never heard from him. Yesterday I got the coin back, he refused delivery and it was sent back to me. I emailed him again thanked him for the return, asked him if he still wanted the original coin, or a full refund. He has never responded to my emails, and has a feedback of 1. Should I send him the coin, or cancel the transaction and refund his money. What would you do?
He did his part by sending the wrong coin back. I say trust him and do what you said you would do: "Get the right one out to him."
I would assume he still wants the coin since he paid for it and hasn't done anything to indicate otherwise. So I would send the coin. But be sure the new tracking number is associated with the sale on ebay.
If you still have his money, then send him the coin. He is new to eBay and maybe he just does not now how to see his messages, He just needs to learn about ebay. I find the messages work great and I do use them.
I would let him know you received the coin back and that you're sending the correct coin now. Possibly give him a little kick back since everything worked out and you didn't have to pay return shipping after all.
Ok, I will send the coin out. I will email him again, and inform him I'm sending the right coin. Ill send it along with a free mint reusable bag on me
I agree with the others. Mail the correct coin out and aplogize again for the confusion. Personally I would even throw in a little present for the trouble. The buyer has done nothing wrong here, its been on your end. He should not be punished or viewed suspiciously simply because of your mixup. I have gotten similar messages on Ebay over the years. Sometimes I do not respond simply because I am waiting for the seller to get it right or am busy.
send him the coin. he might work nights and can not get to his computer. not sure if he has internet on his phone either. I would send him a cheap bonus coin as a sort of thanks for your patience thank you, but explain that it IS a Bonus coin
maybe he is just busy and does not have the time to respond. give it a few days. if he does not get back to you by the end of this weekend notifying you whether he still wants the coin or not then do what you think is best afterwards. People are busy do not expect a reply instantly.
I understand what you are saying I think. Are you worried he doesn't want the original purchase because of a mistake? I would send his product regardless. If you want require a signature to make sure it gets to him. People are busy and may not have time to answer
I would send it. He fulfilled his side of the agreement. Just because he hasn't responded to you doesn't mean he doesn't want the coin. Life tends to get in the way of ebay messages.
Sometimes I have things like this happen and I think the worst. You have the money. Which is the hard part. Either way it'll work out.
