Thanks for the photos. I can see a big difference between the scans and the photos. There are a lot more bag marks showing in the photos. I gave it a 62PL only because you didn't have a 61PL in your poll. Chris
The 63 was generous--based on the new photographs. It is minimum grade MS, and could be proof like--I just hate to call proof like from a picture, if the coin isn't slabbed, as it is impossible to determine reflectivity from a picture, unless the coin is so obviously deep mirrored. I will drop it from 63 based on the pictures to MS 61. If there were a choice for MS 61 PL, I would take a chance on that, but as I said--hard to determine proof like from a photo or scan.
The luster is pretty nice, still too many marks for a 63 in my book. Not horrendous though, I've seen worse in ICG holders. I'm not sure how well a reflection test for PL surfaces would work through a slab, probably not well at all. Does the coin have a PL appearance in hand?
I think 63 is right on the money it's a bit baggy but nothing deep significant or serious there's no deep gouges as so often they have (and even get graded higher) as lienient as the tpgs are especially on cc Morgan's I wouldn't have been surprised if they called it a 64 I feel 63 is a fair solid grade for a nice frosty Morgan with great eye appeal even if it is in an icg slab
Nah, it is an ICG. The picture in the slab reflects a 63, but the earlier close-up reflects a 61 at best. I would still say 62-63, with lots of bag marks, but the ICG slab guarantees that the grade is no better than any of our opinions.
Every once in awhile they get a decent coin that'll cross well why you seldom see a worthy coin in an off brand slab everyone buys em cracks em out and sends em to pcgs or NGC I haven't seen in hand but think it'd be a worthy candidate.

PCGS and NGC grade CC dollars on a different scale than non CC dollars. There was another thread here that explained that.
