Spirityoda, it looks like you have entered a Brazil phase. I've been working on collecting the reis coins for a few years now, but some of the dates are very hard to find.

I have. I used to live in Brazil a long time ago... when I was 5-8 years old. my father was transferred to Brazil as a international marketing manager executive for Kodak. he is retired now and got out of Kodak at the right time. I just recently rememberseeing these coins on Ebay and decided to do the 1,2,5, 10 and 20 denomination of this type coin. I am bidding on the 5 cruzeiros coin now. and upgrade the lower grades as they become available. :blackalien:

I don't have too many of the post-1940 coins but in general I think they have some nice designs. I also feel like Brazilian coins are a smart investment since it is an up-and-coming country.

Had a rather unpleasant month. They broke into my house three times and got away with most of my electronics. It is evident that they were looking for something else, which might just be my coins. I was cheated big-time with some coin purchases also. Slightly timid on internet purchases at the moment. I do have a junk bin quarter to share. I am always on the lookout for some 25 cents coins outside Canada and US.

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

continuing my with my "thing" for 18th century russian coins, i was really wanting one of these, finally found one i could afford. 1729 5 kopeks.

i read somewhere that the 5 dots are to signify "5 kepeks".

fairly large coin, 33 mm and 19.1g

has a neat "waffle" edge as well..
