1952 5 over 9?

    I'm leaning towards PMD because of the scratches on the front

    Actually, it's not PMD (well, the cuts are, but I digress), is quite common on cents from that era, and IIRC, is simply the result of a small piece of the die having broken leaving a small void.

    The cuts are PMD, the anomaly in the date is a die chip.
