Just a suggestion... girlfriend should have a separated account. Judge Judy would agree.

I am currently sitting at 75 for the year. 25 over my total 2014 goal :) I've searched $22,095 so that is something like 1 per $294 searched. Not bad but not great.

Sorted about 10 rolls of nickels. 7 buffalos (1924-S, rest had smooth dates). Found 4 1940s, including a 1943-P. Also a 1938 Jefferson.

Then went through 15 rolls of pennies. About 5 or so wheat cents, which included a 1909 VDB.

I wish I had this much luck all the time. Hopefully it'll be with half dollars next time. :)

Tonight was a good night. I pulled 6 wheat pennies and one Indian head penny out of about 5 or so rolls tonight. The 1900 Indian head penny is the second one I've found in 2014. Tonight was a great night for pennies.

    - 1972 DDO #7 (my 4th)
    - 1990S Proof (my 7th proof)

Bought one (1) $25.00 box of pennies yesterday afternoon, at TD Bank, and found 108 wheat pennies. My best wheat find yet, and I've been getting about a box a week for the past year or so. Of these 108 wheat's, 56 of them were pre-1940 with a lot of teens. Oldest one was 1910. Also, found 24 pre-1997 Canadian pennies with 6 of them George VI with oldest being 1938. There were also a lot of better than un-circulated condition pennies from the 60's & 70's. The total copper content of the box was between 25% & 30%.
When I cashed in the non-copper pennies, found a lot of foreign coins (British, euro's, Greek, Israel), but no silver today. I have found 5 silver (pre-'65) quarters recently at this same machine that I like to go to.

Just wanted to share the cover of the Jan, 1974 COINage magazine that I came across. The top of it reads "Are Any Valuable Coins Still Out There?". It made me think of what it would have been like coin roll hunting back then and how many WW2 silver nickels would be in the average box of nickels? I usually find between 1 and 4 in a box. I only find around 1 war per box but I certainly have found some valuable coins in other denominations. I like the cover though :)

Tried to get a box of dimes on the way home. They would only give me $100 since it was their last box. No biggie. All 2014P. I got drenched walking from the bank to my car for $100 worth of crap.
