    Hey guys,
I found this mercury dime and it looks like a piece of metal fell on the coin as it was being minted or something. Im actually really clueless on what happened but tell me what you guys think. Sorry the obverse is sideways but its not really important. Oh the error is on the bottom of the reverse, but its pretty hard to miss...
    Thanks,
    Jason

It's solder. Someone once used it as a piece of jewelry.

Large die crack on reverse. Maybe a hidden mint mark if photos we larger?

Solder is solder Rick. It's not an error. It's just you ;)

Silver solder was used to affix a pin of some kind to your dime. The pin has since fallen off or was otherwise been removed. Your coin is damaged. Keep looking, there are many real mint errors still to be found out there.
