My goto web site is shutting down to the owner retiring. I was always pretty happy with the business I did with them. Normally I like to go to coin shows, but once in a while I like to get something online. I am looking for a web site with all the major common US sets. Any suggestions? Wow, two post for me today. I am a real chatter box.
Mint sets, where did you get that idea? Looking for the gamut, raw, certified, proof. Just asking for a web site suggestions so I can take a look at. I figure the CT members might have some suggestions.
Tex: Not really sure what you are looking for or like to look at, these have a variety of things, not specializing in any one area or quality tier as some dealers might: http://www.collectorscorner.com/Coins/ https://www.northeastcoin.com/ http://www.jjjjcoins.com http://www.enicoin.com/ http://www.nfccoins.com/
Thanks, I have looked at his site before. It's a little ironic, the previous site I had been using was, "The Coin Shop", also in Indianapolis.
Thanks, but I am looking for a site that has more raw coins so I can put them in my intercept album. Not looking to pay for slab prices then bust open.
"Looking for the gamut, raw, certified, proof." You can always crack out coins you want "raw"... or buy on eBay, eBid, yahoo! auctions, etc. Joking aside, I would suggest you try going through the various dealers listed on the ANA Dealer Director, looking at those sellers who indicate they have an online shop. Also consider looking at dealers advertising in various coin publications (hobby magazines) whom you can look up online. I think you'll find a lot of dealers online have a significant amount of coins that are certified these days as it's a large part of what's available and certified coins give many online buyers more of a sense of security and assurance to condition / grade when buying online. I might also suggest you write to the dealer whom you have been working with for many years, the one who is retiring, and ask them for recommendations. They likely have sources for the coins you've been buying or know of other dealers whom they can direct you to.
Ahh, a thousand thanks, that looks like the exact kind of dealer I was looking for. So your are happy with your transactions with him?
