I will be in town today, but its Sunday so all the banks are closed, is there anywhere else that I could get a large quantity of coins?

Probably not. Most, if not all, businesses only keep enough coin to satisfy their own needs.

Large amounts of quarters are easy to come across. Think of businesses that have change machines that accept $20 bills (self serve car washes, laundromats, arcades, etc). Probably not the kindest thing to do to go in to such a business and clean out their change machine, I'm just saying it's possible.

I remember a while back I used to enjoy using the vending machines in the USPS facilities. I'd buy the cheapest item I could get, maybe a single stamp or a small sheet of postcard stamps, pay with a $20 and receive my change in Susan B. Anthony coins. :woot:

    (Ooooh, we have new smileys!)

Yeah, like silver three pence coins. I really like those little buggers!

I've had little luck anywhere outside of banks for large amounts of coins. Every once in awhile my local supermarket will give up a few rolls.

I have a network of businesses and schools that I buy up all their accumulated change from. Also a particular casino for halves.
