I only purchased one HOF proof for less than $75. I do have a subscription for a collectors puck, which shipped yesterday. Perhaps it will come with it. I think that it might make for a good bag to bring beer and ice to my weekly card game. A US mint bag might be a good conversation at the game.
I know, I expect a huge bidding war over your bag, I will put my bid in the last second hope I get it.
My HOF order yesterday lists the bag on the order, but, it says, "No longer available". My puck order does not show the bag at all. I tell you, these bags are going to be worth something.
These bags seem to be not so popular, if you were to choose another item in same category of cost, what would you have liked to receive from the mint? (small storage box, pen, some token, key tag, magnet, mug/cup...you name it). Maybe these bags will become interesting in time, I bet you would like to own a 1800's mint bag wouldn't you?
My honest thought about this bad is...I haven't a clue what I would be comfortable using it for. Frankly, I wouldn't want to use it for anything visible to anyone because I feel like I'd be advertising that I buy things from the mint. I don't normally discuss my valuables with complete strangers in my area...I feel like this sort of advertises that.
They are only worth something if they are first day of issue; bag certified perfect (BCP70), have a CAC sticker; and sold on the night shift by HSN. To get top dollar, it must also be displayed in a red oak box.
CAC should be extremely worried by the "Better than Bacon" sticker. They are the most delicious grade out there.
