Will the Baseball Hall of Fame Gold coins sell out first day?

Considering they never accepted the entry due to it being one minute after the deadline for submission, I don't think the mint owns it now. Perhaps I could change it to Little League and they could do something with it for a fundraiser, as this too is their 75th anniversary and they are promoting it big.

The promoters of this coin design contest for the mint were expecting perhaps 10,000 entries. They only received 200 due to the difficulty of submitting a coin design. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who couldn't "get through".

It Happened!!! It finally happened! I was getting so worried!

My Bag shipped today!!!!

 

I wonder how my order got bumped in the queue. My order confirmation email showed 12:06 and yet 12:30 orders are shipping. I guess I should just be happy that gold coins are shipping finally.

There's no telling how they really do things over there. It obviously looks like a disorganized mess to the public eye.

I got my order in for gold, silver & clad on around 2:30PM on 3/27 with order # 42935xxx. It was held until late last week, and no movement other than "order in process" and the clads and mint bag "in stock and ready to ship". Looks like a huge difference in order status between people who got their orders in around 12:30pm vs 2:30pm. I also made another order at around 8PM that day for an additional gold and silver, and that order is still being held.

 

My US Mint bag showed up today. No shipping yet on my first silver or clad orders...

 

My bag showed up today and I received a shipping confirmation of my silver on Saturday!! Woohoo!!

 

Poppas got a brand new bag......no coins, just a @#$%^&* bag.

My gold order from the second day (Friday morning, 3/28) just went from held status to in process!!!!! I cannot believe it. I spoke to a mint rep a few days ago about it and he said this order was still in play and was on the cusp, but it looks like it is going to happen. He hinted that I would get the order. I am very happy. Maybe I will put together a complete set. TC

 

Does anyone follow the Mint on Facebook? I do and just got a selling post that said they have less than 35k of the 400k silver remaining, urging us all to go buy. I hope they sell out soon.

 

I hope they don't sell out and that the sales figure/mintage is that much lower. But I guess posts and replies to them like these help sell more than not.

 

Has anyone received their gold HOF coins yet? My uncirculated is due to arrive soon. TC

No I agree with you, it is a way to spread the word.

Is there a point at which the mint stops minting these coins, other than when they are sold out? If not, why would you not want them to sell out? If I listed my coins on Ebay I am fairly sure I could create a greater buying frenzy when I could put in my auction that these are coming from a sold out mintage of only 400K as opposed to not being able to say that.
