    Yes, way too expensive. You could buy a nice 1921 in MS63 for that or maybe even a 64 if you are patient.

    The eagle is very flat, looks like roadkill ! Luster is not apparent from the photo. MS-63 from what company ?

    I wouldn't pay anything close to $1500 for it, but it is much nicer than the other one which is close to being junk silver ( IMO).

    I often wonder how many gem coins were melted in 1980 when silver hit $50 ( like maybe $150 in today's dollars). I've heard original bags of silver dollars went straight to the melting pot back in that craze.
