The serial number is front and reverse of the same note, The other one doesn`t have one, although it looks identicle to the one in the link, although that does not explain a lot.
yeah they are just copies of real notes. i think i may have some of the real notes laying around somewhere
Does Indonesia use Chinese characters on their money? I've only ever seen the Western alphabet on their coins.

Yes that is the same auction which Funkee posted a link to earlier however it does not really tell me much and we only have the sellers word for what they are.
The top one is a bad rendition of a Central Bank of China customs gold unit note. The characters across the top are the name of the bank. These were made by A&BC Chewing Gum Ltd. in the UK in 1971 as premiums sold with their chewing gum. All the notes in the series are knock-offs of genuine notes with fairly obvious differences. Now you also have my word for what they are. Or you can look up A&BC banknotes and read about them for yourself.
Ah Lettow, I knew I could rely on you ABC Chewing Gum Company, They used to make the Confederate notes back in 1964 when I was a kid, I`ve never seen these Asian copies before or any others apart from the early Confederate bills. Thankyou.
