I saw the HSN thread, so I had to start this one. Coin Vault has the HOF coins certified by NGC in PF70 UC/MS70 for sale today. Prices are as follows: Gold $5 coin (proof or mint strike): $3999.00 Copper/Nickel Clad 50C (proof or mint strike): $199.00 Silver $1 (Mint strike): $599.00 Silver $1 (Proof): $499.00 Don't forget the S&H! But, but, the label reads "Opening Day Releases"! These guys are unreal.
But, but, but they have the "Opening Day Releases" Label! You can't get that anymore.... You can do 2 easy pay payments of 1999.50! No worries....
so if my order from the mint says backordered 6/19, does that mean I will get the coins. or am i on a waiting list?
Nice! I'm hoping that by having national companies advertise these (!Moon Money!) type prices, the value of these coins across the board will be driven up, raw & 1st glitch. Can't wait to get mine, so I can sell 'em faster than lighting! YEE-HAW
I am sure they say to a lot of Grandmothers that will end up buying them for others. Very good chance some people on this board might even own some HSN coins without even knowing it.
Those prices won't last long. Ask me about holding real physical precious metals in an IRA or HSA plan.
Someone please call up the Coin Vault folks and offer them any coins you have ordered for half of the Coin Vaults prices.
Nice, I wish I could get the Coin Vault out in PA, just for giggles and to compare their prices to HSN!
I was also gonna say I seen both HSN and the Coin Vault shows. after seeing the coin vault, HSN was reasonable.
Maybe so but they will sell them. And most likely most of the people on here would sell theirs if they could get that kind of mark up.
I don't have any numbers to back this up , but a few people I trust told me if you held gold for lets say 100 years you'd be behind because it hasn't kept up with inflation .
Depends on where you pick your start and ending points. But right now if you went back 100 years before today they would be wrong, gold has beaten inflation but not by much. The inflation calculators tend to show inflating at about 3.1% per annum over the period, and gold returned about 4.4%
On Ebay in the last 24 hours a NGC 70 set sold for $7,300. It was listed at $7,700 or BO and they took the money and ran....and I don't blame 'em.
