1907 indian head error

Discussion in 'Error Coins' started by Trash2TreasuresNY, Mar 31, 2014.

  1. I found this coin in a roll I recently purchased. It caught my eye immediately. It kinda looked like gold at first(brassy color). Any information and value anyone can give?

    Looks ex-encased. Damage.

  4. Ex-encased damage? Can you explain a little about it?

It was "encased" in something. Google image search "encased cent". That can explain it better than I can :)
Oh, and encasing the coin usually damages it in the manner in which your coin is damaged.

I agree. Ex encased cent for sure.

  7. So does that mean it is a post mint damage?

Doesn't look all that clean to me... :p Looks pretty messed up.

  12. What would create the damage on the reverse and observe. I can understand the outer part but what about the inside

Cleaned and post mint damaged, but I don't think it has been encased.
