I'd pay a lot for them...unless I could get them for free. In my utopian communist society EVERYONE GETS ANGEL FART CUPCAKES. Who's with me?! :)

Curious. Hmm back in April 2011 he registered a 2 door Ford hatchback - don't you have to have a license to register a vehicle in your name? His plate expired in April 2012. There were whole threads back in late 2012 over his car woes, breaking down, piece of junk, had to borrow parents car etc.

How are we going to sort this out? Did he have a license as I suspect, did he later lose it for some reason, or...

Did he somehow manage to register a car without a valid drivers license?

There are just countless paradoxes with Tom, whoops I mean Tim that mystify.

Having spent some of my formative years in communist and post communist countries I will pass, but thank you all the flipping same.

I was unaware that he had registered it, and just assumed that his youtube videos of clunking through the cornfields of middle America were just an example of youthful indiscretion.

If he indeed registered the hot rod Lincoln - ahem, Tempo - and needed a valid license to do so, this little confession could suggest that perhaps our not-so-young-anymore friend has a few whoopsies in his closet.

You don't need a license to register a car, not in this state anyway.

So, you were uh, driving around without a license?

And you are not refuting that you registered the car.

No. I registered it to drive around in with my Dad on a permit.

So you are telling me that you were always driving around with dad in the co-pilot seat, even when you were then 19-20? Did dad always drive you to Target when you were there? How about the Hy-Vee job? Isn't rather embarrassing to be driving around with mom and pops at your age?

    What happened to the car?

I still have the car. I quit driving around when my permit expired. I'm in the process of repairing the floor pans which have been abused by the harsh Illinois winter's salted roads.

Getting my DL in a few months. I can drive just fine. I just don't feel like spending $125 a month on gas and insurance right now.

I was just joking...I don't know why I remember it was muffins. It just seemed like a funny thing to say.

You've gone nearly six years without a license, so if it's not broken, why fix it? If you don't feel like wasting that extra $80/mo on stupid car insurance, you don't need it and have everything you do right there in your room. Also, I want to let you in on a little secret: no matter what anyone else may tell you, chicks dig full grown men who need their mommy to drive them around.

Stick to your guns, Tim; you're doing just fine as it is. Why do for yourself when others are willing to do it for you.

I'm on the completely opposite side of the drivers license discussion. I fully support you getting your license. Up to this point in your life Tim, you have not been overly independent. I'll tell you a secret...I lived with my parents until I was 23. Now, I got my license when I was 16 and I was living with them while I was going to the local college to save money...I wasn't quite as dependent as you. But, getting your license is a first step towards independence. Hopefully you will decide to get it soon and make that first small step. I believe it's important for you as you mature.
