  1. Three workers find themselves locked up, and they ask each other what they’re in for. The first man says: “I was always ten minutes late to work, so I was accused of sabotage.” The second man says: “I was always ten minutes early to work, so I was accused of espionage.” The third man says: “I always got to work on time, so I was accused of having a Western watch.”

You do realize nothing is free in this world. Facebook doesn't charge you a fee, what they do is sell you and your personal information to advertisers.

So when people hit that like button for let's say jay z. You will get advertisements for similar rap music, clothing lines that jay z owns, and other products he endorses.

Facebook is just a direct marketing website. They no what pages you click on, how long you stay there, where you live, how old you are. Advertisers have never had it this easy.

On top of that...advertisers have to pay to advertise on Facebook. The "free" part of Facebook is just like the "free" part of eBay...becoming a member.

You are not a communist. You are an uneducated 20 year old kid with an enormous ego and virtually non existent social skills who thinks that communism will level the playing field against the socially adjusted members of society.

RESPONDING TO THIS POST WILL PROVE MY POINT

Detecto Tim, I'm curious how do you think your own life would be different if you lived in a real communist society?

And by the way, it's free to browse and buy stuff on ebay. They even give you 2% back. You can even post products for free. If you advertise on FB or sell on ebay, it does costs.

Last I checked the fees in the coins and currency section of eBay is 7%. Different items actually have different fee structures. Paypal is 2.9%. Do the math next time you sell something...

    Matt,

They reduced the FVF % for coins from 7% to 6% last year, but that is only for sellers with an E-Bay store. Those without pay the full 10% with a maximum fee of $250.

    That makes sense....

Don't they have a free... Or at least very cheap eBay store option?

That's an interesting way to look at it. This has nothing to do with "crapping" on anyone. It's actually the opposite. They have a set of fees and they want to reward the people who do a lot of business with them (and thus make them more money) by giving them a volume discount. It's the same thing K-Mart does when they buy their inventory. They get it cheaper from their vendors than others do because they are a nation-wide chain and buy in bulk.

  15. According to his bio page, he is not 22 until April 20th of this year. Wow they sure grow up fast.

I'm quite sure he said he was 22 around the time when he was coming clean about never having bothered to get a driver's license. Perhaps I was mistaken, but if not, this wouldn't be the first time he's lied about his age.

They sure do grow up fast.... well, most of them do anyway. ;)

The Basic Store costs $19.95/month which can be reduced to $15.95 if an entire year subscription is made. In essence, if your sales are not at least $500/month, there is no advantage in having an E-Bay store.

  19. Well considering 4/20 is National Get High Day, many will be celebrating his birthday.

And many won't, as it would also be Hitler's B-day.

Perhaps they should have called it Godsil's law instead of Godwin's law, considering Tim's b-day must mean something o_O
