They can't. Congress authorized the limits on these coins.

I could not agree more. I am extremely surprised that the gold coin has unofficially sold out. Never expected it.

The cancel boxes are still in place but the offering still shows a shipping date of 3/30. I know, I know......don't get your hopes up, right? Still, they did tag the card......

Yeah true, but since I bought these, I know the mint will somehow mess it up for me.

Most of us want to see a 90% version of commem halves and have been asking for years. That's apparently why the mint doesn't offer them.

 

If you have juicy info we have no patience. Out with it already.

 

It's Congress, not the mint, that sets the standards. We have to write our Congressmen.......
