I'd say its stage A: which is unconfirmed from coneca, stage B: two die cracks through upper hair - MDS, One die crack extends to rim at K-1, this coin has none of that, stage C: Reverse is LDS, Obverse die changed - EDS, none of this either

its a smoker, been in the family for may of years, going through some of my grand-fathers coins, which now my dad owns

Truly, I am out of the loop. I have heard of LSD, but not EDS, LDS, MDS, or K-1. Since you mention coneca for stage A, B, & C, is this a person or a source for explainations.

MDS - mid die state
LDS - late die state
K-1 - position on face of coin, like a clock

LSD - I know all about that too, but that was high school days. LOL!
