I havent tried any CU's yet, but I will have an option to join one after I get married in October. Dont know if they have a coin machine though.

Only problem with re-wrapping in the old wrappers is that they are the ones crimped on both ends and i tear them to pieces when I open them.

I dont care about the $10 too much, but I would like to avoid throwing $40 more dollars away on my hobby every month. I wont net $40 worth of gains out of it.

Box of Nickels: 33 pre1960, 2x1927 Buffs, 1943P War, 1995S Proof, 1985 Canada and my first 2014P from CRH.

Only a V-Nickel away from getting at least one of everything I search for.

I guess I'm fortunate, because I have no problem dumping coins. One bank I use has a coin counter in the lobby with no charge to bank customers, another bank I use takes the loose coins and runs them through their counter for me and last the bank in our store will let me look at the rolls in new boxes when a teller opens the box. I don't get to open and search the rolls in these new boxes, but since they are the plastic wrapped rolls all I have to do is take them out look at the edges keep the rolls with silver and put the others back. They also sell me all CWR and I go through them if I find anything I just replace it and sell them the rolls back. I live in a small town and know most of the tellers and the ones that keep silver themselves can't wait to tell me when someone brings it in and they snatch it up.

I recommend you simply stop at a branch of your bank(s) once in awhile and request the type of coin roll papers you need. 98% of tellers will not bat an eyelash and will give you a neatly wrapped bundle with a rubber band.

Forgot about that. The problem with that though is the funny looks I get when depositing that much change repetitively. The machines were the best idea.

Im still confused by CoinStar (at least the one at walmart), if I can get a giftcard to Nike, AppleBees, etc for no charge, then why on earth is the largest retail store not offering the same thing by allowing a coupon to be redeemed in store for no fee.

Geez, just charge the fee if the person wants to leave with cash.

wow... TD Bank (which is where my account is) Is really stingy with the wrappers. Ill be like oh I have lots of pennys to wrap and they give me 5 wrappers. Also they don't except rolled halves so im not happy with them. That's why I go to chase, where my dads account is, because he is an employee so they give him like all the wrappers he wants and I can order as much coins from there as I want :)

    One box of nickels. 1938 and 1939, and also mostly common 40 ' s and 50 ' s stuff, with a 1928 Buffalo and a 1982 Switzerland coin. An AU 1969 D, and a brilliant 1987 D and 1990 P. [IMG]
