Hello. I found a 1965 Washington quarter that looks to be silver on the front and back with copper in the center. The coin was found buried in the sand in salt water. It is shinny with the silver tone even though it was under salt water. No tarnishing at al like other quarters I have found. Does anyone have any info on a coin like this?
    Thanks

Sounds like a normal 1965 clad quarter to me. Pics would help.

Its odd its has not tarnished being in salt water for a long time. I read online that some 1965 were silver plated. Hope the pics help.

Yup just a regular clad 1965.
If it was silver it would not have the copper showing through on the edge.

Maybe wasn't in the sand/water that long? Dunno. Either way, it's clad. Keep looking :)

I agree , it's a clad . If it was silver plated it would of covered the copper .
