I tried looking this up on coppercoins.com with no luck they didnt have anything under the 1993 DDO, but its definitely a DDO.
Then what would You call it? cause I never seen a Cent with doubling in that area and that is not normal for it to be doubled in that spot and its not PMD nor MD.
Tommy Cent, Calm Yourself Guess what, you are a guest on this site, and so am I, so don't get all mad at me when what you think is a double die isn't. You asked for opinions and i gave one. Oh I agree with you "I never seen a Cent with doubling in that area and that is not normal" you haven't. That is just his earlobe, nothing more. I am a young numismatic and you infuriated me when your like oh really what would you call it. Ill give whatever opinion I want but I don't see anything. I was very respectful about say oh I don't think it is, but you know what being mr nice guy doesn't help forever. We'll see what everyone else says -Jason
I will wait for others more knowledgeable than me to chime in...But I don't think it's doubled. If it is, and again I don't think it is, it is very very very minor...
Ill go with furry and wait for the experts but I have a 1993 penny in my hand and It looks to have those markings too
mr crawford has one, so they are out there I was just looking, never seen any images, maybe I shoulodn't off posted link, but a "A " for effort
No offense, but confirmed as what, and by whom? This was still before single-squeeze hubbing, so I would imagine that the doubling would show on elsewhere besides this one isolated spot.
