Bought a 1816 Half Crown for 14 and change with shipping included.

Seems like a good seller, but is listed as being in Portugal, and doesn't discount shipping unless you buy 20 items.

Had a lot of nice stuff rather cheap, made me kind of skeptical, but he or she has over 8000 feedback at 99.9%.

Thing that confuses me, it says delivery within 2-5 days of cleared payment for US orders, but surely shipping from Portugal would take longer, no? It took me 3 weeks to get something from the UK.

Has anyone bought from them before?

I'm pretty sure that he means he will ship within 2-5 days of cleared payment.

In my experience items shipped from Portugal get to the US relatively fast, usually around a week worth of business days. I wouldn't say his stuff is cheap. I mean some of the prices are pretty competitive, but nothing being offered at low-ball if that's what you mean.

He had some lots of low grade British for $5.95, not including postage. Some of them had some halfway decent cartwheel pences and some George II stuff.

Was thinking about it, but 5 lots would of been $20 for postage.

I might have purchased from him before. I know the name is familiar. One time I bought some coins from a seller in Portugal and when they arrived they were sent from Maryland. Maybe it was this guy and that's why he says you will get them so soon.

Location for the seller's eBay profile says US whereas the item location is Portugal... I would send a message and ask him.

I bought a handful of coins from him about a year or so ago. They came promptly, considering the distance, and even had some freebies included. I have nothing bad to say - I don't recall the shipping being terribly expensive or lengthy - not so much it stood out in my mind.

He might use a U.S. fulfillment center.

    Hi guys,

Sorry for bring this back to light so late but I'm the seller "shipwreck_coins" from Ebay and by accident just saw this message, regarding a different post I was reading !

Just to put a few things clear : I combine shipping . So if you buy up to 19 coins you will only pay $4 shipping ($7 maximum if it's over $50) . If you buy over 20 coins shipping is free by registered mail .

Shipping to US takes between 2/3 weeks . I don't know why ebay says 2-5 days for deliveries because that's not my info ! Shipping is made after 24 hours of cleared payment (working days excluding weekend) .

    Thank you for your time,

I will go now for other post that bring me my attention !

    Thank you

    Daniel

I have purchased several coins from Daniel and they always arrive timely from Portugal. Daniel was even kind enough to include 1-, 2- and 5-cent new Portuguese coins as a thank you gift.

    Daniel,

The boy who started this thread could weasel his way into finding fault with any seller or anything other than in himself. You could have given him the coins for free, paid for shipping, and thrown him a hundred spot for blessing you with his, ahem, "business", and he still would have come here complaining of some imagined injustice, so don't stress it.
