A new addition to my collection is the tetradrachm of Nero featuring his wife, Poppaea. Its the only reason I bought it.

Was surprised to see when it arrived it was a harlen j berk coin, priced at $150!!! My cost?, $37!

History says Nero kicked his pregnant wife in the stomach, killing her and his baby.

This was sort of an impulse buy -- looking through my Jefferson collection I decided I wanted another 1950-D, found that and a pretty nice 1950

1883 Proof Indian Cent (PCGS PR65BN). Just bought this on Sunday. I love the blue elevation chromatics and spot-free surfaces.

Hey Winged - did you see the "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" pieces that are being sold on the bay?

At those prices I can only dream of those coins. Seems like Keypto wants an arm, leg and your unborn child.

He isn't pricing them, the owner is. Those prices almost guarantee they will go unsold for a while.

I've had a lot of recent new purchases lately, one of them is this 1913 Barber quarter proof. A coin normally out of my price range, but Uncle Sam was gracious in my tax refund. It's graded. What do you think the grade is? Barber proof 1.JPG barber proof 2.JPG barber proof 2.JPG

Finally got my dimes. The 1917 looks cleaned, the 1920 looks original.

Also got my encased 1912 Lincoln from LostDutchman. I really want to see the back of the coin and I can only imagine the crazy colorful toning it has. But I'll never know....
