My first year searching consisted of searching every single year and mintmark, and tbh, it burned me out a bit. This year I went on coppercoins.com and decided to just search the years that are appealing to me, which happen to be the more extreme and valuable examples. Tell me if there is anything you find appealing that maybe not on my list. RPMs: All D & S years up to 1989. I know there are years that are not too desirable, but since Ds and Ss only make up about 10 to 15% of my lot, I search them regardless. DDO/DDR/Small Dates/Transition: All wheats, 60p, 68d, 69s, 70s, 71p, 72p, 80p, 83p, 84p, 88pd, 90p, 92pd, 94pd, 95d, 96p, 97p, 98p, 99p, 00p, 06p, 11p
I find the 1960 DDO, sm/over large date, D/D RPM-100 to combine the major variety types, a DDO, type 3, of 2 different designs, and a wide spaced D/D RPM, and is one of my favorites.
1964 in particular is loaded with doubled dies, including a couple rather significant (P) DDRs. John Wexler once told me that there are over 100 known DDRs for the 64-P alone, but most are, of course, minor. There is also at least one somewhat significant DDO for the 70-P, and 95-P isn't on your list. Anyway, searching has never been enjoyable for me, but if you're going to take the time to do so, it should be for what appeals to you. Good luck.
Actually I do search the 95p, but I never sort them into the search bin. That DDO is very obvious, and doesnt really require a lope to spot it
Of course, but was not on your list and I thought it worth mentioning. Also and please do not hold me to this, but I believe that there is another 95-P DDO that, while not as strong as the aforementioned, is still relatively significant. Anyway, since you're already searching the date, it may be worth looking into.
Here is a 2002-D Cent that I discovered a few years ago. So far I know of 4 examples that have been found. Three in Florida and one in Arizona. After finding the 2004-P DDR I wondered if other years might have it. So I added it to my searching and sho-nuff I found one!
