1972 DDO FS-1C-033.54 This was in a AGC holder they called it MS65RB. I cracked it out a long time ago Dang http://lincolncentresource.com/doubledies/1972ddo4.html I must say the more I research this I think it's really a FS1c-033.53 Die 3 as the it is missing the rim cud next to liberty. What do you think REF: page 43 Cherrypickers' Guide
Is that you xp? Beautiful coin and pictures! I tried to take the same quality pictures as yours. I came close I think. When I saw it on eBay, I just had to have it. I am starting a collection of 1954 coins. So far I have this cent and a nickel (posted in the post your nickels thread).
1947 bronze alloy changes Q Bower notes made a lot mid 1950's wheat cent hard to be graded Red. In MS 67 hard grade most of time being full Red not a large population til 1957 if Bower explanations is correct .
Mr. Bower was mistaken about "til 1957" PCGS has a grand total of 5 (not a typo) 1957- and only 24 of the 1958-. The D's are a bit better at 107 and 99, but still not that common.
rlm's It maybe me that was off on date range. I should have gotten the book down/out and wrote the note within his newest Lincoln cent book. Q Bowers is not often wrong it was must likely Me.
Here is a picture taken by Robec's Images and it is my NGC MS68RD 2010 Union Shield SMS. This coin is frosty. Thanks Bob for another great picture
