I just putting an order together and thought to take a minute to get some feedback. I've looked at the coin several times. It does have flow lines but not as distinct as I would like to see. I don't see any abrasion on the high points and compared to recent PCGS grading it looks like a 64. There are two small dings on the face and one on the leg. JH Cline says that it shouldn't get a 64 unless the bag marks are not on the face or legs, but have seen plenty that do. Thanks Group for your time
Id maybe hit it with some MS-70 to get rid of that black junk around the devices, but other than that it should get at least a 63, close to a FH too
It may be the photo's but it looks flat and lifeless, like its been over dipped/improperly cleaned. As for the grade IMO 55 Would I send it in? No
My first impression of those photos was that the coin has been cleaned and would end up in a details slab. This is an example of a coin that I would need to see in hand in order to render any definitive judgement.
Here is a start that should help answer some of your questions. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=4692877
