Which one of the four would you keep? I only want one for my type set. The 1943 D is Pcgs MS64FB, And Thanks to Gbroke for photos.
40 or the 43. Those two have the 'cleanest' look through the toning. That mottled toning doesn't look as good as that smoother toning.
1940 What is the average grade of your type set? You should keep the one that fits in best or the one that you like the most.
I would have kept the 1916-S MS62, just missed it. The 1943 MS67 was a brief second choice based on slab and grade. The presentation lacks a bit with a few scratches and scuffs on the slab. Looking purely at coin eye appeal and presentation, my vote is PCGS MS66 1940.
Have to agree! Nice looking dime with the periphery looking even and natural just like it should. The others are alright but the 40 takes the cake.
Were it not for the dark speckles on the '39 that would be far and away the most attractive toning. The '43 D has the best strike of all of them but it doesn't quite make the grade. The '43 Philly is just butt ugly. So I went with the '40.
