Another Splurge, Piastre

    Recently I have been buying several coins that have caught my eye over the years here on CT and one design I always liked was the French Indo China obverse design. So I finally bit the bullet and got this. Apparently its a better date, I have no I idea.

    beautiful coin, is this the size of a silver dollar or half dollar for reference?

    I've longed to do a set of world silver dollars, now I know if i ever do one, I have to add a piastre!

    It is tempting, but I have other pans on the fire. When it comes to world moderns, I just buy coins with designs I like. This type I always liked.

    Yeah I have an idea, does it weigh 27.215 grams and does it not attract a magnet.
    If it weighs 27.215 grams and doesn`t attract a magnet, then -
    does it attract a rare earth magnet slow slide test.
    My idea is that it is a fake/ copy/ counterfeit of an expensive rarity.
    I could be wrong, but I don`t think I am :rolleyes:
