I'd say something about this coin, but I'm feeling rather lazy and Doug's got a great page on these over at FORVM, so I'll let him do the work. http://www.forumancientcoins.com/dougsmith/bh.html
I read Doug's page on these when I first started collecting ancients, and they grabbed my attention, but I didn't go hunting for them. This one came up on eBay today and nobody bid, so I got it for $15. Bing would be proud.
Ive been on a hot streak with bargains on ebay the past week. Got like 8 coins to share still, but I like to spread the sharing.
I've been wanting one of those coins as well. They ain't terribly expensive I've noticed. Congrats on a nice Horseman Jital!
Being missing the symbol to the left of the horseman makes ID harder but I have a suspicion. What do you say it is? This same lack makes room for the legend at far right so yours is better than mine in that respect. It is worth $15.
Pretty smooth lookin' animal-coin, JA (congrats!!) ... I don't have one of these babies, "yet" (man, I need to buy more coins!!)
Interesting...sadly I doubt it's enough to tear me away from Alexandrian coinage. My preciousssssss! Very good Mat. Meanwhile, I am still on the wagon.
very nice JA, one of these is on my "short list" of coins to get. they're common, but it's kind of hard to find a good one with the full rider/horse and bull...your is about as good as I've seen. here's my bronze jital of the same era, elephant and lion...
