Hi, I know next to nothing about the value of World Currency. I am curious as to the value of this note. I posted it last night along with 2 common coins from Venezuela on eBay starting at .99. I am getting a lot of activity on the auction and I know it can't be the coins. It has already exceeded what I thought it was worth. Any information would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Mike

OK, I read this as mine is the first in the chart with a date of 7/19/45.
I am going to assume that 20 is like a VF and 60 is like a MS in coin grading.

Other than 3 folds and a slight stain on the reverse, how to you grade. I would assume this is between a 20 and a 60. Guy is messaging me to change the auction to a BIN. Can you do that? He has made an offer of $35. I'm thinking I should let this play out to the end of the auction. I have it listed in world coins. Should/can I change that to World Currency to get more exposure?

after doing some research on grading this should be at least a 40 or XF. I'm guessing the value would be closer to $75-$80, right? Assuming a 20 is $40 and a 60 is $125

Add a second category, you can't remove the initial one. Let it play out.

I am OK, I listed is as "Coins and Currency from Venezuela". It shows up if you search "currency" or "Coins". Already replied to buyer that he is just going to have to be the high bidder if he wants it. Funny, I've had this for ages, thought it was only worth 4 or 5 bucks. Oh well, life is fun.

No one searches "currency" of "coins". Best description would be "Venezuela 1945 10 bolivares 19 julio 1945 VF/XF rare note" listed in Paper Money-South America-Venezuela

I am new at eBay as a seller. So I can change the category? or add it to a second category?

Was able to add second catagory, but it would not let me change title.

I sold a very similar note years ago. Sold higher than I thought it would. Let it ride might take off if you advertise you would ship it international.

edit: make sure to adjust shipping pricing accordingly for international if you go that route

I am stunned beyond belief. Auction ended last night. Note went for $310! A bit of a frenzy. Bid jumped from $40 to $305, then $310. I made sure to ship insured with signature requested. Thanks for everyone's help.

good for you man! Helluva return! Did you decide to go international or did you keep it domestic?

I added the International option but it sold domestic.

I've been waiting for the hi-denom Venez to show up,
but the four-way exchange rate mentioned elsewhere on CT... ... ...
...I think it works this way:
600 Bvs could get you one barrel of oil, internationally... [10Bv per $1]
But a bbl of oil won't get you a roll of "lavatory paper" inside Venezuela.
That roll of T.P.'s gonna cost you 3000 Bv... [3000Bv per $1]
...and probably 60,000Bv... because TP is not to be found anywhere 'in country'!
