One of the first coins I bought with my tax return was this rare provincial of Empress Livia. Ive had my eye on this coin for many many months and thankfully no one saw how rare it was or cared, so I was finally able to acquire it & for much less then asking.

Shes a tough one to get and usually expensive.

Another type of this coin features both her and Augustus, it's more common.

This will be on wildwinds soon.

    :) Congratulations :)

According to Wikipedia, she was the wife of the Roman emperor Augustus throughout his reign, as well as his adviser. She was the mother of the emperor Tiberius, paternal grandmother of the emperor Claudius, paternal great-grandmother of the emperor Caligula, and maternal great-great-grandmother of the emperor Nero.

Things might have been different in Roman history without Ms. Livia. :D

Dane of Wildwinds gave me the correct info. It was wrong. Also seems to be two types. Still rare though.

Glad I didnt make the ticket info for the flip yet.
