Ever tried searching for something about coins on the net only to have to sort through 10,000 links to find what you really want ? Well here's a new site to check out - and you won't have that problem. http://gdjmsp.numisaddict.com/
I have a friend that provides the hosting and formatting for me. The links are those that I have found over the years and deemed them useful. I figured it was time to share.
Yes and no. The link works, but the content is gone (and the domain name is for sale). That is what one gets for digging up an 11-year-old topic. Christian
Well I'd say let's update it with this - https://www.cointalk.com/forums/numismatic-resources.33/ - which is what replaced the original link in this thread. But - you heard that "but" coming didn't you ? - that is also rather "dated". Some of the links found there no longer work either. But if you read the introduction thread in that section it will tell you how to find much of the information at those dead links. Yeah, takes a bit of doing, but it can be done. And if you want to learn, it's worth it.
Maybe it just an iPhone thing but the site is up and the couple test links to other sites worked for me
Ask and ye shall receive First screen Click buy bullion Click top link What I don't know is this. We're there limits on self promotion back then? Because the whole site is just one whole pile of paid links. To me it appears to make money for the site strictly from sponcered fees to be listed.
I think those ads have nothing to do with Doug's site, it's just banners that popped up because your previous online searches.
Numisaddict is long dead. The domain is now owned by the domain squatters, and those guys are bad news you should stay far away from any website they own. Luckily, there are some good guys on the Internet, one of them being the Internet Archive, which you can find Doug's old site: https://web.archive.org/web/20031125094858/http://gdjmsp.numisaddict.com/ Not a lot of people know about the archive, and it is not easy to navigate. The best bet would be to see what you can salvage from it and post it into the section Doug referenced above, and update the information.
