Hello, all!

I just put my little write up together to share with you all!

I have to say, one of the highlights of the trip for me was meeting two CoinTalkers (C-B-D and Jallengomez), and about 6 or 8 people off the PCGS forums! I hope to have the pleasure of meeting many more of my fellow coin nerds in the future!

Omg that 1895 is ----******!!!!!! Amazing!!!! One of the prettiest Morgans I ever seen!!! The 1804 $5 is decent too I heard you got to experience there the weather all us in the northeast is used to wanting to get to a show still the bad weather been killing me business wise so I got no coin buying money hoping it breaks soon good write up!! I been reading cbds so far this gives another take

That 95 Proof WAS amazing! I just wish I had been able to get a better pic of it and not a silly cell phone pic!

@ Amanda,
I put my O face on for that 95 proof. OMG how much and where can I pick it up? I did love your comment about the "magic" chairs. I had a coin show back home that I set up for which prevented me from coming down. Everyone had to have those chairs on top of their cases....like that was going to do anything. I was the only one who did not even bother to cover up my coins. Why waste the time!?!?!? There is an armed guard outside the door all night. Of course the next morning was great. All I did was walk in and turn on my lights and I was ready to go. Seriously, I want that 95 proof!

 

Thank you for this write up, Amanda. For somebody like me, whose work and family do not allow for the trip, it's nice to read about all of the beautiful coins and enjoyable times had by other collectors on this forum.

 

Heh heh! I can't wait to meet you as well Amanda! However, it definitely will not be at a coin show east of the Sierra Nevada's!

 

@jaceravone ... The Magic Charis will save your booty!! Hahaha, I've always thought it was funny as well, but who am I to break with tradition??

That 95 proof went to a happy home with a well known collector, who immediately set about point it to HIS facebook page. It was well over 6 figures, and that's all I can say about that!

SHOCK AND FREAKN AWE!

After reading the comments, I was expecting a run of the mill '95, but WOW!

This from a "reformed" Morgan collector.

 

thanks for the write up. and the "coin porn" those morgan DMPL where amazing. drool drool. the other coin I was/am still drooling on was/is that $3 dollar proof princess. wow gorgeous. when will your next coin show be ?

The next show I'll be at will be the Sacramento show at the end of the month ... then after that I believe it's Vegas, baby!

sweet maybe I will see you in Vegas sometime. is it the Circus-Circus show ? what date ? I used to live in Stockton California 40 miles south of Sacramento. small world. now I live in St. George, Utah

 

'Cept maybe Portland.

 

It's the one at the Palace Station for 2014, moving to a different hotel for 2015.

I'm still floored by the 95 a pf 68!! I'm sure mid 6 figures a pf 63 usually brings $100k And that's not a coin I'm usually blown away by I'm usually far more excited by a high grade key cc Morgan or better yet a flowing hair or draped bust I'm hoping to pick some major show on the east side of the us probably later this year if business is good any reccomendations?
