Well, I decided to splurge a little with the tax refund so here are some new cents I picked up. I have 3 more (or so I think) to come and thinking about purchasing the Star Spangled Banner commemorative, but can't decide if I want to take the plunge yet.

Yeah, I know, I'm not good at capturing luster, but you get the idea:

When I bought my crispina sestertius, I also bought a Lucilla a few days later. Got a great price on it cause of crummy pics and mislabeled as faustina jr.

Thanks. I've kept my eye out for a nice specimen of this date and grade. I believe I finally found one. I won it from an auction house, so it will take at least a week before I get it in hand.

Thanks, onecenter. That means a lot to me. Here are two more which arrived today:

This one I thought/think is a Woody, though if you look on the reverse the wood-grain doesn't seem to be throughout which has me thinking if it is an altered surface such as tape or something? Still, the coin is quite a beauty and the luster is wonderful throughout so I'm still happy with it:

I think I have one more coming...maybe in the next day or two. Thanks again for the wonderful comments.

It does sort of look like something was across the surfaces and affected the color but, it still is a very nice cent.

This is a nice coin. I want to know from the experts why do you think it wasn't graded higher. I always thought as long as you have the PEACE word standing out like this Peace dollar has it would get a 65. Remember high relief in those days was a experiment and making the dies correctly was a challenge. Oh well sweet 64. Looks 65 all day long.

I am pretty sure that is just a woody. I don't think any think has been done to it.
