ANCIENTS - Hadrian - Halfway to being a pleasing coin

    The portrait on this Sestertius of Hadrian is quite pleasing but the reverse is a let down. Ho hum.

    Hadrian Sestertius
    Obv:- IMP CAES DIVI TRA PARTH F DIVI NER NEP TRAIANO HADRIANO AVG Laureate, cuirassed bust right
    Rev:- PONT MAX TR POT COS / FORT RED / S C, Fortuna,seated left, holding rudder and cornucopa.
    Minted in Rome. A.D. 117
    Reference:- RIC 541a, Cohen 751. BMCRE 1110

    As would I. The portrait is different from most Trajan's I see what with the long neck. Very nice.

    Wow, what a pretty face, eh? => Martin, that's a gorgeous portrait (congrats)

    ... oh, and I also think that Fortuna looks pretty hot (total winner)

    i think its pretty sweet...big and great portrait...color is nice also.
