Making me jealous of you photo taking abilities. I tried your techniques but I can't seem to get the deep color. Stay tuned, going to show some toners I got today.

In 1986 Mexico celebrated the World Cup Soccer Tournament with a special mint set. Problem is they stared in 1985. I have even seen some set with 1988 coins or even a mix of dates. I got one today withe 1985 coins. The nice thing about this set is it is not permanently sealed. It snaps open and close. This also means it is exposed to the air and some nice toning can occur. I don't have gbrokes expertise and I struggled with this all night until my eyes got blurry. Anyway here it is. 1988 Mexico mint set obverse.JPG 1985 mexico mint set reverse.JPG 1985 mexico 1 peso.jpg 1985 mexico 5 pesos.jpg 1985 mexico 10 pesos.jpg 1985 mexico 20 pesos.jpg 1985 mexico 50 pesos.jpg 1985 mexico 100 pesos.jpg 1985 mexico 200 pesos.jpg

I picked this Russian World War II commemorative at the February 23 coin show
held at the San Francisco Old Mint.

It is odd to see an American flag on a Russian coin.

    Nice set!!!
The 200+1000 peso coins are thick and heavy .I spent a few week down in Mexico city while in Army.
My son took one to school for show&Tell.Brass made the 5-6 years kids at school were think it was Gold as did the teacher I recall her asking how much they were worth,I hated to tell her $5.00-$10.00 on a good day.

The 1986 20 pesos is one of the few that I need for my Mexican collection and I always hope that one of these sets will contain one when I see them on eBay, but they never do.

I have the 10 Mark version of the 1888 Prussia Frederick III coin:

Germany Prussia 10 Marks 1888-A (Berlin) - Frederick III
FRIEDRICH DEUTSCHER KAISER KONIG V. PREUSSEN
(Frederick, Emperor of Germany, King of Prussia)
    DEUTSCHES REICH 1888 / 10 MARK
    (German Empire / 10 Marks)
    3.98 grams, 0.900 gold, 19mm
Krause catalog number: 514, mintage 876,000
    NGC graded MS-61

I bought it because a coin like this was part of the 1946 Hesse Jewel robbery,
committed by three American Army officers stationed in Germany.
