Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what this might be on my quarter ? The lines running on the penny I believe someone on here had told me that its called a woody but on this coin they seem to be raised up where the other lines I have seen are more in the coin.
For the quarter: Wear? For the Lincoln: Improper alloy mix commonly referred to as a woody. Or so it appears.
Quarter: To edges of "GOD" Penny: I thought the woody thing to except this is the first one out of 10 or less that I have seen where it is raised above the surface of the coin.
