Some sad news, somehow my Excel Program became corrupted and won't open, so now I can't access my files that I was using to keep track of my wheats and nickels. It was a pretty outdated program, Microsoft Excel Starter 2010, that came free when I got my laptop. And it would crash once in a while, but now it's officially done.
Not the end of the world though, maybe eventually I will spend a day (or week) to sort through all of my wheats and nickels and type up everything again on a spreadsheet app on my phone. I had it all fancy too, with formulas to auto-sum the totals for each mintmark, total finds for each year, overall total. Damn.:(

Anyway, today at work I found 2 wheats: 1920 and 1957D.
Also, our store got a big delivery of coins from the bank and one of the boxes of quarters were all 2014P Great Smokey Mountains. I decided to keep 3 rolls.

There is likely a free online converter that you can use to convert your files into another format allowing you to open them with another program.

The strangest cent roll searching yet. It's plastic lol. At first I was happy, thought the ridge on the rim meant it was a sloppy made magician coin. Nope. Lol Plastic Cent.png

It worked! Thank you so much for the tip. I used Microsoft Excel Online and it simply let me upload the file and now it works! Now I can only open the files through the Microsoft website since the program doesn't work but at least I have access to it now. Such a relief. Thanks again! :D

and this 1984D seems to be a little off center strike. Is it worth keeping or just chunk it back in the pile? 84 off center.JPG

I don't think it's off center enough. Is the reverse off center too? I'm guessing it is just a MAD and fairly common.

  13. Reverse is normal. back in the pile it goes.

Looks like that play money was struck through grease and lamination error.
