Ancient: Titus Denarius

    When I traded my Nero, I also traded my other titus for this one. It had several things I liked better then my older one. So this cost me nothing.

    R: TR P VIIII IMP XIIII COS VII P P, Ceres seated left, holding corn ear, poppy, & torch.

    I like it Mat. Especially the reverse. I'm still hunting for the right Titus. But have decided to stick with bronze for now.

    You can't beat the price you got on that one. Nicely done!

    Later in the same year after Titus took IMP XV, the TRP VIIII was changed to TRP IX. Unfortunately mine is weak on that side but still there. It is a coin I'd like to upgrade with a bold IX. There are several types with the subtractive 9.

    I'm surprised too. It is one of the first Roman coins I purchased on the internet.
