I know our fellow member Eng (John) recently posted some coins with heads on a platter, but I had this one coming in the mail and didn't want to post it till I had it in hand. It is well centered, has good detail, and a beautiful green patina.

Thanks for the coin compliments. In true Bing fashion, I was able to procure this coin at well below my budget. In fact, I was surprised at the low price. Before anyone can ask, I paid a paltry $12. I'm actually kinda proud when I can find good deals like this.

Good job! Perhaps when beginners ask, we should stop suggesting those little 'late Romans' and start suggesting $12 hefties like this.

An excellent coin at a great price, Bing. Kudos! I'm glad to see your drought is over.

Thanks JA. The drought may be over, but it's only coming in a trickle. Being on a wife imposed strict budget is requiring me to search for good deals like this one. I have three more coins on the way, all costing about the same or less than this coin. They're not the stunners that AJ, Steve, Martin, Doug and others procure, but at least I'm getting my toes a little wet once again.

Yeah, well...it's all relative. Meanwhile, I'm spending top dollar on Nabataeans that will never look half as good as your $12 coins. It just goes to show that beauty isn't a necessary ingredient of numismatics.

Good to see you back in the buying mode Bing! I need to follow your lead and get coins as handsome as that one for $12!

In fact I just bought a couple relatively cheap Urbs Roma on the bay tonight. I'll share them with the group when they arrive. None as low as twelve bucks though. Well done.

Thanks. I have to be very frugal these days. Not because I don't have the money, but it's wife imposed. I guess she figures I got a little carried away last year. I also have three more coins on the way, all of which are in the same general price range. When I have them in hand I will post them.
