Conder... You ever seen this one before? It came into one of my wholesale guys offices and I picked it up. I kinda like the lifetime double money back guarantee.
I don't have it yet. I'll get some better pics when it gets here but these are the only pics I have so far.
All they would need to invalidate the guarantee is say that the "seal" (which looks like a mylar flap) was tampered with.
Grade MS65/65 no wonder they didn't make it. A grade for obv and a grade for rev, imagine a coin graded MS62/EF40
It might be a Franklin Mint issue. This was an offer they made and came with a letter of introduction. It's a different item but similar guarantee on a bicentennial Two Dollar bill.
Didn't TPGs , starting with ANACS back in the day, issue a grade for both sides? I think so but may be wrong.
Matt , I wonder if it's accurately graded ? It looks like it could be graded correctly ( on par with PCGS & NGC ) but I can't tell as the pics aren't the best .
Thats how the EAC grades. I thinks its the most accurate way to grade, as coins dont wear evenly on all sides.
My understanding on that is two-fold: 1) In a generic case of "gap" grades, the net grade ends up being the lower grade or one grade step above the lower grade (ergo: AU55/XF40 net XF45). 2) I don't think it's possible to have a non-problem coin grade uncirculated on one side and moderately worn on the other. It would be highly suspect, and the grader would likely question the basis of the wear or the legitimacy of the surfaces.
Yes, Anacs had a separate grade for each sides. I can photo one of mine and attach if anyone is interested.
The old ANACS photo certs graded both sides, if I remember correctly. I think the Company that did the Redfield Hoard also graded both sides. Those are the only 2 that I can think of.
