    You should check coppercoins: http://coppercoins.com/advsearch.php

There is a wealth of information on that site and you can probably answer many of your questions before you have to post here.

Learning/reading/researching can go a long way.

As for the coin in question, my vote is again, not a doubled die. Worth 1 cent.

I would guess that it is a doubled die. I see splitting in the 9 of the date especially.

Charles - did you check coppercoins? I've looked through all of the ones they have listed and don't see anything like yours.
From your new pictures I don't see the doubling as "adding to the devices" It looks more like MD to me than a doubled die.

I don't think this one is a doubled die.

Any doubling that I DO see appears mostly flat-like and does not make the design any ticker...it doesn't add to it.

Most of the "splits" I see look like lighting issues.

In all fairness, coppercoins listings are not the final word on if a variety exists or not; the coin itself is. However, and with that said, I think the images and lighting are making this one to appear more questionable than it probably is in-hand. Perhaps clear photos would prove otherwise, but I don't believe it is a doubled die.
