It appears to have some type of doubling (though I'm not good at telling the type) and a clear line on the loop of the second 9? None of the others I've looked at have that

I think we will need clearer pictures before making a definitive decision...I personally am not really seeing the telltale signs of an RPM, especially 1MM-021 (RPM-003).

agreed, if what he wrote, is what he seeing, then he mite have something, but not all die variety experts agree on this as an RPM anyways

So you're saying I could have a die breaker on my hands? LOL. If I can prove it is a RPM then what would it be worth? Even better what if I could set the record straight with just this one coin for everyone!? LOL. Just doing some research on this. Very controversial to say the least! I don't even know what to do with this.

like non cents said take some better photos, and study the inside of that 9 with either coppercoins photo, or wexlers, either or

Yeah I see that now. I have to disagree with you though based on the pics OP has. I don't see any of that stuff sticking out of the 9 like in wexlers RPM-003

Lol... Even this post is controversial. Hahaha. I love this penny already. Ok.. So is it worth pursuing? Cause I don't have the magnification or camera to get the pictures to do justice of what I'm seeing. I'd probably have to take it to someone with a better set up than my loop and iphone set up I have. haha

    Heres the one I'm talking about 1959-D 1¢ WRPM-003

Description: D and totally separated D punched into the lower 9.

Cross References: Crawford: CRPM-008, Coppercoins: 1959D-1MM-021

    Top 100 RPM: Wexler

Comments: Not all die variety specialists agree that this is an RPM variety with some arguing that it is some form of damage. An overlay by Billy G. Crawford shows that the suspected errant mint mark punch does conform to the shape of the D mint mark. The viewers will have to orm their own opinions regarding this variety, especially if a purchase is being considered.

I bought me a cheap-o chinese USB microscope for like $15. It isn't great by any stretch of the word but it does well. My avatar is my 72/72 that I took with the USB camera. Not too shabby.
