I shipped out some coins i sold on ebay a few days ago with tracking. The buyer paid on 2/11 and he was already asking why he hasn't received it and opened an eBay dispute against me on 2/16. Now, I am a very fast shipper, so this really shocked me that he was already getting impatient. I checked the tracking and it shows delivered yesterday. I have been reading some of eBay's policies of non delivered packages. It does say that I will not be held responsible if I can show tracking and that it was delivered. Has anyone had any luck with this type of situation where they provided proof of delivery and did not have to refund buyer? I have been reading on CT a lot lately about how ebay almost always sides with the buyer even if proof is given. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
I would go to the USPS tracking page and make a screen print / screen snip of all that shows: accepted, in-transit, delivered. This will be your best proof. This happened on a purse my wife sold on ebay a few years ago. My wife won that case, because Post Office it that city said it was delivered.
The tracking info shows right on the dispute page and says delivered. I responded back to the guy and told him to check with his post office about the delivery. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
If your buyer opens an "item not received" case, eBay will have you enter the tracking number. If it shows "delivered", you win, 100% of the time. Put that buyer on your blocked bidder list immediately.
So who ends up eating the cost if I show proof of delivery and he says he never got it? My funds in PayPal are on hold right now. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Awesome! How long will this process take? I just got the case a few hours ago. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Could take up to 8 days unless you call eBay to see if they can expedite the process. He can still.leave you a negative, but eBay may remove it if you call them and discuss the situation.
How many feedback does this guy have? Are their any negative comments in his feedback section? The item wasn't over $250 was it? If it was then you'd only be protected if you had signature confirmation.
The guy has several hundred feedback with a very recent bad seller feedback. He sent an item with nothing in the package and wouldnt refund. Everything else was positive. Item was only $16.50.
Hmmm seems odd that'd he try and scam over that amount, maybe someone stole the package after it was delivered. Or maybe its a hijacked Ebay account. Just seems unlikely that a guy with several hundred feedback would try scamming a $16.50 item. I hope you get your money!
The new paypal policy requires signature confirmation which is about $2 more. There is a chance he could win.
The latest policy i saw was that signature was only mandatory for $750+ unless I read it wrong. I just don't see how a seller would have a leg to stand on when there is proof it was delivered.
I can't imagine adding signature confirmation for transactions this small... Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
It wouldn't be the first time that USPS has delivered to the wrong address. But, Ebay has you covered.
So this brings me back to my original question. Will I have to pay if USPS screwed up? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
No. If you shipped to the address on file with eBay, and it didn't require signature (over $250), and it has been scanned as "delivered," then as far as eBay is concerned, it HAS been delivered and you're in the clear.
Their is no guarantee you can win one time i had a group of medals, i did not receive the medals even though tracking said they where their i lost the claim one time through i refiled it and ebay gave me my money back that same day so their is no way i can guarantee you will win but most of the time if you have tracking you win !
