Today I received three packages that I was expecting, two from other CT members, and this one. To make it a bit more interesting I'm breaking the series into three parts.

    Enjoy!

I had a TON of trouble buying this coin. First, the seller (who was on Vcoins) had forgotten to update his shipping prices, then my order was canceled because of a misunderstanding, and finally, when I reordered the shipping was delayed three days, by a strike on the London Underground (that is why it's good to keep up to date on current events)!

To top it all off, I haven't been able to take satisfactory photos of it. So, I'm using the seller's pictures.

I have to say, all the hassle was worth it, it even came with a Spink tag (pedigree?)!

Issues? Ya, in hand it looks like the pale green stuff on the eagle's neck might be BD.

I'm not certain, so close-ups will posted sometime in the future.

I have faith you will be able to take a better photo. The coin has exceptionally clear legends for this empress. For that matter, Alexandria never did all that well with long legends so most of the clear ones we see were from rulers with shorter names.

I'll tack on the equivalent coin from year 5 and a different reverse (Tyche) from year 14. Style changed quite a bit over the intervening years.

Thanks for all the compliments guys (and gal)!

Most of the photo issue was that I received in the middle of school time, so I got enough of a break as it was.

I'll try again in a bit.

You got that right! I took some more photos and I think they're a bit better, but still not Doug quality! The color in these are pretty accurate to what it looks like in light cloud cover.
