They would have probably offered less than face for it. Nice work though.

The artist is pretty talented. I wouldn't pay 500 for it, but it would have been cool to see the PS reactions as he tried to sell it.

$500? That's the wonder of eBay. There is a sucker born every minute and they eventually find their way to the eBay site. Once the novelty wears off, and he shows it to everyone he knows, what will he do with it? Maybe he plans to see if Chumlee would buy it. Anyone else and he would never get his money back when he sells.

I think the artist did a great job on it...but this is just the flavor of the month. The price the buyer is paying is hard to believe. This show reminds me of those guys who were on TV several years back building those motorcycles. They were really popular for a few years and now have disappeared. These guys will too...and when they do, all this junk with their images on them will be worthless.

  8. I like the artistry but $500 is way too much. Maybe Chumlee himself is bidding it up. TC

Landis was offered a $30.00 harmonica in trade for it. How rude was that?

Dang! Who would have thought so many people want a coin with Chumlee on it? Maybe Rick is bidding it up to put it on his show, in fact maybe he smells money to be made. :D

I respect your opinion but I disagree. That's still a piece of art, it'll never become junk or worthless. The Chum coins may become worthless, but that nickel won't. It's not just Chum's popularity that drives the price up, but the artist's beautiful work.

Never read the description. That's an insult.

    Questions come to mind:

Did you get Chumlee's permission to produce a likeness of him?
    And to market that likeness?
Is it allowed to do this without permission?

As with so many items in art world the number existing strongly affects value.
Is this a "one and only"?
